Wing-type paddles were developed for Olympic class sprinting on flat water courses with super light racing craft. It offers 2% more speed, but lacks flexibility in use. Because it grips more water it is
not suitable for paddling heavier sea kayaks, nor for kayakfishing,
cruising and expeditions with loaded craft, waveski-surfing, or
white-water kayaking, unless you have developed the strength to use them over years of use. Wing paddles come standard with carbon-fibre blades and carbon/fibreglass shafts. Some wings also have adjusters, so you can set the length and feathering angle of the blades. Price below excludes Vat. Add R450 for shaft
adjusters, if required.
